About Our School
Princefield is a community School and Nursery administered by Staffordshire County Council. It was established in 1976 and is set out in attractive grounds overlooking the canal in the village of Penkridge.
We cater for children from the ages of 3+ to 9yrs old. Our Nursery has two sessions each day and places are allocated on a part time basis. The main school covers the Foundation Stage and National Curriculum Years 1 to 4. We adhere to the legal requirement which states that class sizes must be 30 or less in KS1. When children leave Princefield, most parents express a preference to send their child to Penkridge Middle School and then to Wolgarston Specialist Technology College.
Our accomodation is mainly open plan which enables children easy access to resources and the library. Our computer suite provides excellent networked facilities for learning through ICT.
We have interactive whiteboards in each main school classroom.
The hall serves as a well equipped gymnasium and as a dining area for the quality school lunches which are cooked on the premises. Children may choose to bring sandwiches.
The school has a portable ramp to ensure access throughout the building is possible and a disabled toilet is located in the main building. The school has an accessibility plan available for inspection.
The Nursery is in a self contained secure area with its own playground where children can play on bikes and with large apparatus.
Our generously sized playing field is well used throughout the year for learning, sporting and recreational activities.
